Sustainability
The more relationships we build with good people, good causes, and good practices, the better we all are.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create coastal apparel that not only looks and feels exceptional, but also respects the environment and the people involved in making it, bringing a more conscious approach to the clothes you live in all summer long.

For us, being environmentally conscious starts at the first step of product design. We would rather release a small range of pieces that earn a place in your rotation than creating new items every other day, so each design is worked and reworked until it feels right, fits right, and can be worn from the first warm morning of the year to the last. Fewer, better things is not a slogan. It is how our entire product line is planned.

It also means knowing the hands behind the label. We work with a small number of manufacturing partners, whose people are paid fairly and work in safe, well-run facilities, and we keep those relationships for the long term instead of chasing the lowest quote each season. A shirt cannot be made responsibly if the people making it are not treated that way.

We do not claim to have it all figured out. We share what we are doing, what we are still working on, and where we have fallen short, because that is what conscious actually looks like: steady progress, out in the open, one decision at a time.

Built Into Every Order

Every Order Supports Ocean Sustainability

One dollar from every Kimara Coast order goes to organizations doing hands-on ocean and coral restoration. It is built into the price, not added at checkout, and it happens on every order, every day.

We are a coastal brand. Every piece we make is designed around a morning on the water, an afternoon in the sand, an evening by the shore. None of that exists without healthy oceans, so putting part of every sale back into the places that make those days possible is not a campaign for us. It is the cost of doing what we do.

A dollar is small on its own. Multiplied across every order it becomes a steady, predictable source of funding the organizations below can plan around. You will find them just underneath.

Coral reefs

Reefs shelter roughly a quarter of all marine life and take the force out of the waves that reach our beaches. When they go, the coast goes with them.

Coastlines

Dunes, mangroves, and healthy shorelines are what make a beach day possible. Restoring them protects the places our brand is built around.

Clean water

Less plastic and runoff in the water means clearer swims, healthier reefs, and beaches worth coming back to.

Giving Back to the Reef

The ocean is important to us. We grew up next to it and it shaped our life. We care about coral restoration and coastal cleanup; no matter what we do we're adament about supporting causes that help protect it.

Reef Restoration

Rebuilding Reefs, One Order at a Time

Coral reefs shelter about a quarter of all marine life, and roughly half of the world's coral cover has been lost since the 1950s. Every Kimara Coast order sends $1 to restoration partners who grow, plant and monitor coral on damaged reefs.

Lower-Impact Fabrics

Recycled and responsibly sourced materials

Sourcing Fabrics

We only use high-quality fabrics from suppliers we trust, chosen for softness, breathability, and durability. Every material has to earn its place: it needs to feel good on the first wear, hold up to sun, salt, and a summer of washes, and still look right years later.

We believe the most sustainable piece is the one you keep reaching for. That is why we design for longevity over trends and keep working toward lower-impact materials and processes across our collections, so our pieces are both premium and responsible.

Conscious Packaging

We keep packaging simple on purpose. Orders ship in packaging chosen to protect your pieces while keeping waste to a minimum, and we continue to move toward recyclable and reusable options wherever we can.

This approach helps us reduce unnecessary waste while keeping the premium unboxing experience you expect from a brand that cares about the details.

Ethical Garments

Kimara Coast pieces are designed in the United States and produced by experienced manufacturing partners we trust. We work exclusively with reputable partners who share our standards for quality and integrity throughout the production process.

We only work with partners who provide safe working conditions and fair treatment for their teams, and who respect the people behind every piece they make.

When you buy a Kimara Coast piece, you support that way of working. Our goal is to create apparel that not only looks exceptional but is produced with respect for both people and the places that make our best days possible.

Made to Last

Fashion leaves a footprint.
We would rather leave a small one.

The best thing we can do about it is make pieces you will wear for years instead of seasons. Produced in considered quantities rather than chasing volume, designed to be easy to wear and hard to wear out, and backed by a team that would rather carry fewer things we are proud of than shelves of things we are not.
